Alejandro Guarin is a Colombian immigrant. Before arriving in the United States, he spent his childhood living in several countries in Latin America, including Ecuador and Paraguay. Since arriving in the United States, Alejandro has made it a priority to create spaces where Latinos can come together and advance the interests of the Latino community.
As an undergraduate student at the University of South Carolina, Alejandro was a founding member of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the first Latino fraternity in the state. He continued that work in law school at Mercer University School of Law, where he served as President of the Hispanic Law Students Association.
Alejandro cares deeply about his immigrant roots, and he saw the opportunity to serve as a founding board member of SCHLBA as a fitting way to continue serving the Latino legal profession. Alejandro is a lawyer at Pracht Injury Lawyers, LLP in Greenville, South Carolina.
